Campaign Story
The Problem : Many migrant housewives end up staying at home isolated, looking after their child while the world passes them by. They might be educated or skilled but lack a network or face language barriers in a foreign country.
Our Goal : To integrate, educate and empower migrant housewives so that they may become a part of a community, have a support network emotionally and expand upon their existing skills.
Our Plan: To connect as many of them as possible, to learn from and support each other. Provide a platform to work on their language skills, empower them to teach or share their existing skills with other migrants and potentially become an outsourced skilled labourforce for small businesses.
The Rationale: Everyone has a skill that can be tapped on. Especially for migrant housewives with children in a foreign country, it is crucial that they do not feel isolated, helpless and friendless. We have been working on a shoestring budget and your donations will help us to empower and integrate them, so that they may in turn reach out to others. We firmly believe that to have a society, we must have community.
