Michelle big opportunity

since i was in seventh grade i decided i wanted to become a nurse. the next couple of years that turned into wanting to travel nurse. through out high school i started setting up my goals. by my jr year year i wrote out a list of future goals i was going to accomplish. number one, graduate high school. check, im class of 2011! woohoo. number two, get my first job, not working in fast food. check, i am currently employed part time at my first job where i received my very first interveiw. third goal go to college! 

i am currently attending green river community college in auburn washington. i love it. school has always been my passion. learning is something ive always enjoyed, once i understand one thing i comprehend evverything after that. i am finishing up my prerrequitsites for the nursing program. i am doing pretty good i have a acerage GPA of 2.64 and rising. ill get this last qurters grades next week, can not wait.

last weekend i received a letter in the mailig explaining that i am qualified for a study abroad program due to my academic acheivements. the program will spend 5 weeks in Australia and five weeks in New Zealand! i can hardly believe i was invited to this program it is such an amazing opportunity. the part thats a let down is the cost.

the program will start fall quarter. we will leave january 7 2014 and arrive back in the states march 14 2014. the program fee is 7195 plus 275 for taxes. then tuition is seperate. the extra money will go to the fifth week in each place where i get to explore, experience life and culture on my own, food, a aplace to stay and any traveling to see sights and landmarks. 

being able to go on this trip would  a chance in a life time! not only will ill be taking 15 credits and attending school full time ill also be learning about two different ways of life. ill ge to experience dorm life in australia and sharred apartment life in neew zealand. the 5th week spent will be giving me the experience as a traveler. 

i would do anything to be able to join this program to further my eduacation and prosper as a person. becoming a nurse, you have to be articulate and caring. openminded and generous. therres so many things you an learn from other cultures that i belive i can really benefit from.
