Michele Slaney

You may not know Michele so I will tell you a little bit about her. 

She was born 35 years ago with cystic fibrosis. She spent her childhood in and out of hospital, all the time her health deteriorating. She lost her older brother to the disease and her younger brother was knocked down by a car and killed. 

Michele's health got so bad about six years ago that she urgently needed intervention.  She underwent a lung transplant which completely changed her life for the better.   Unfortunately last August she was diagnosed with cervical cancer.  She received radiotherapy last year and has been recovering.  Sadly she went to the doctors for her review a few weeks ago and was told that the cancer had spread to her stomach and lungs. She has been given six months to live. 

Michele is as usual taking this in her stride as she always has done in battles in her health. Remaining positive she has produced a bucket list. One of the things on her list was to go to euro Disney... This is hopefully now going to happen but we need some spending money :)

 The plan is to have a raffle to raise some money. We will be drawing this raffle at a party for Michele on the 12th April.
