This is a sad story to tell but there is hope of a Reunion between this son and his mother and family!

Michael is 26 years of age.

He was fostered out at the age of 3 by his mother. He was placed in 8 different foster homes within a 2 year period, backwards and forwards until the age of 6 where he was officially fostered by a family from mirboo north.

Michael does not know whom his father is, but knows of his birth mother.

For the last four years, Michael has been searching for his birth mother and family, not knowing anymore than just her name, Kim Wilson.

2 years ago (2015), Michael and I became a family, and having Michael tell me his story about how he grew up in so many homes and how he was traumatised from the experience from a early age moved me.

I love this man with every ounce of my soul, so I decided to re-start the search he almost gave up on.

I researched every detail about Michaels mother and family life, contacts many organisations, Facebook searched every possible name we could think of.

At the point where we almost had given up again, Michaels foster mum presented us with paperwork from Child Protection and the Misson of St James & St Johns, and Gippsland Family Services on the 24th April, 2017.

We were so stunned with the amount of information it provided Michael and I, and once again we were on the search again.

Two names were mentioned, Samantha & Rob who I decided to Facebook all night until we suddenly found them. Unknown if they were of any relation, I contact them and discovered that they are Michaels Step-Siblings and have now made contact with them and their father, Michaels Step-dad.

In just one weekend, Michaels sister presented us with a mountain load of information about family members of Michaels mother that Michael had never known about or never got to meet.

Sadly, Michael has just learnt of a half-brother he has, after 26 years.

Amongst other searches on Facebook, the internet, and newspapers, we have discovered that Michaels grandfather William, grandmother Betty and his Uncle Dominic all passed in recent years.

However, on a positive note, other information has now put Michael in communication with his Aunty Katherine that he's never met, his mothers sister.

Katherine has now provided us with a current address and phone number for Michaels mother Kim Wilson.

With the support from Aunty Katherine, Michael and I are now leaving on the 11th of April, 2017 and driving 9.5 hours up to St Mary's, NSW.

Michael will meet his family for the first time and probability is he will meet he Birth Mother for the first time since the age of 3.

Unfortunately, Michael had a microdiscectomy on his back from a condition called Sciatica, at the St Vincent's Hospital, Melbourne. It's a condition he will live with for the rest of his life, and unfortunately may not be able to work very much for the rest of his life.

Since the operation, hardship has occurred and I am working full time just to make ends meet. And Michael is now becoming a full time dad to his step daughter and son.

Michael needs answers and closure, and he's needs his family! He's been through a rough childhood with out anyone, and finally after so long has the opportunity to be reunited with some, if not all of his family.

Michael turns 27 on the 7th of April, and my birthday wish for him is to get him up to NSW and meet his family.

And we need your help to make this happen!

Please help Michael be reunited with his mother and family!
