Campaign Story
The aim of the fundraiser is to fund a wreath in memory of Michael "Carrots" Lewis. The format will be that it will represent donations primarily from his ex school mates from St Josephs School .
If you can add a small few words about Carrots and what he meant to you all the nicer.
Should the fundraising exceed the amount required to endorse a wreath then any surplus will be accountably distributed in a way fitting.Achieving the primary goal of about £60 is the aim. The wreath has been ordered from Ceri Gammond Florist who is an ex pupil and also did the wreath for Kevin Downey.

FUNERAL DETAILS ANNOUNCED

Lyons at 08:49 amFUNERAL DETAILS:- I have just been informed by Michaels brother that the funeral will be on Tuesday 24th May 2016 at St Joseph's RC Church Church St, Port Talbot SA12 6LE starting 9.30am. He states that the plan is to leave Michaels home in Thomas Street and walk to Church

The funeral wreath was supplied by Ceri Gammond at a price of £45. Ceri also did the wreath for Kevin Downey. She is St Josephs Ex pupil and an established Port Talbot Florist and made the Carrot style wreath at Michaels funeral. I have added photos of both the wreath and the other flowers that Ceri produced at Michaels funeral. On the day the sun shone well and the crowds turned out in numbers to pay their respect. It was a very fitting goodbye to somebody who had touched the hearts of so many.

In the first half hour of my first day in St Josephs Infant school as a near 5 yr old infant I sat directly in front of Michael Lewis and had my arse pinched. It was traumatic enough to remember for the next 50 yrs. talk about stating off as you mean to go on !!!! Will miss this guy . RIP Carrots
