Michael and Katie’s Happily Ever After

OUR STORY

As a little girl, I was involved in a traumatic boating accident leaving me with a severe disability. Over the years, I never thought I would be married because I was disfigured and had physical limitations. There were so many frustrations and sadness because I yearned for someone to love me for me. I never had a boyfriend, never had anyone be interested in me. Then along came Michael. We met a year and a half ago at church. We were friends. We went on a missions trip with our church and harldy spoke to each other. Until Oct 2012, we started talking. November 17, 2012 we went on our first date and we knew without a doubt we would be getting married. He is the love of my life. He knows exactly what to do to make me feel like his queen and he treats me with such love. He does everything in his power to make sure that he knows that he loves me every second. We can't bear to be apart from each other but our work and school schedules limit our time with each other to about 2-4 times a week. I never felt beautiful in all my life and he tells me all the time how beautiful and how perfect I am for him. I do all in my power to make sure he is taken care of and that he is happy. I support and encourage him. He is my favorite place to be and I am his.  

OUR PLIGHT

We will be getting married in the Spring of 2014. Because of my disability, it has become harder for me to work. I am currently a Registered Nurse, but I am becoming unable to do my job. I will have completed my Bachelors in Sept 2013. I am currently looking for another job. Michael is currently working part time and going to school full time to be a psychology major with the ultimate dream to be a psychiatrist working with the criminally insane. As he becomes more involved with his school, he will be able to work even less. I will have to find some way to work to support us until he can find a job. Money will be very tight for the beginning of our marriage. 

HOW IT WILL HELP

I never thougth I would be able to marry the man of my dreams. And now that the time is coming, I won't be able to have the wedding of our dreams because of limited finances.
