Mica’s Scam Recovery Fund

Today my best friend Mica lost all $5000 of her life savings to a scam. The scam claimed over the phone that she owed money to the government and would be arrested immediately if she did not provide the outstanding debt. Having never as much as been given a speeding ticket before, she quickly sent along the money she supposedly owed, so not to risk having any confrontation with the law.

Mica is passionate about selflessly providing for others through international volunteerism. She has made a tradition of travelling across the USA and Canada over a number of months during the summer over past few years, volunteering her time through benefit work.

She had accumulated the $5000 in savings working hard at three jobs with plans already made for her first ever trip abroad, leaving this April for a number of months of volunteer benefit work. These were her sole savings and only means of travel.

I would like to see her $5000 raised back so that she may still follow through with her selfless plan to volunteer this summer and I ask that you please help Mica in any way that you can with utmost confidence that any contribution will go directly into sustaining her volunteer work.
