Mia’s UpCycled Art Center for Street Kids

Mia has been doing amazing work in Bultfontein, Free State, South Africa. Inspired by Anita Venter from Start Living Green she's managed to turn an ocean of waste into a magical artist playground. A single mom with 2 kids of her own she manages to feed an army of street kids and local disadvantaged on a daily bases who she also imparts green building skills to. Together they have built a huge art studio that has is slowly morphing into an amazingly playful work of art. Mia has positively influenced at least 150 children and counting. Keeping them off the streets while teaching natural building and permaculture skills. She has managed to train an army of Eco Warriors who are able to turn waste into worth. She is an amazing women who desperately needs funding for her roof in order to finish her UpCycled Art Studio where she intend to teach kids different art techniques and much more.

I couldn't care less about a birthday wish BUT what I care deeply about are people sacrificing their comfort in order to give back to the less fortunate.

Therefore, I'm asking everyone who wished me a happy birthday to put your money where your mouths are and donate ANY amount to Mia's roof.

Last year I've initiated a similar campaign and I'm pleased to say Mokoena who's roof we raised funds for, is now installed and looking absolutely amazing.

This year I would like to do the same for Mia to show her that she's not alone and that she's supported in her cause.
