The Methodist School of Cambodia, was established in 1997 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. It started with only 15 students. To date we have an enrolment of 1100 students. The school focuses on the Cambodia Khmer National Curriculum. The school prepares the local student to sit for their National Grade 12 Examinations.
Through the years, the Methodist School of Cambodia has established herself as a choice school for many of the locals. Our vision is to be able to provide quality holistic education to students from all walks of life. It is our desire to see the student be able to contribute back to the country of Cambodia.
The current place that the school is located is very run down, we are hoping to be able to raise the funds to build better facilities for the student and also to develop the teachers.
The funds will used for
1. Renovation of the current place
2. Building of additional blocks in the current location
3. Staff development - upgrading the teachers
4. Student Sponsorship Schemes - up to 25% of the school population comes under this scheme.
Even though it is a fee-paying school, the money collected from the fees goes into the operation of the school. It covers the monthly salary of the school, monthly utilities, administrative costs, maintenance cost and other curriculum cost.
We are hoping to be able to raise the the funds so that we can provide a better environment for the students.
