Messages of support for Yuzuru Hanyu!

Hello, this is the donation page for @fanyubanner2021 on Twitter. These Planet Hanyu and Tumblr posts are also about this project!!

We're organising a banner full of messages of support and photos/artwork for Yuzuru Hanyu! The completed banner will be sent to the JSF who will forward it to him. Messages for the banner can still be submitted, please see here for more details!

Thanks to everyone who took part, we've received almost 300 messages from over 50 countries! This response is a lot more than we anticipated and we're really grateful for all of the support so far! I'm sure our feelings will definitely reach Yuzuru!!

As this has become a large-scale project, we are now accepting donations to help fund this project.

Why is the deadline for the project after the deadline for message submissions? How have you calculated the costs?

After the cutoff date for the messages, we will be working on designing and arranging the banner. We estimate that this will take about a week so if unforeseen costs arise, we can quickly adjust the funds needed.

We've estimated that printing will cost us around £200 (including test prints and reprinting if there are issues). Shipping will cost around £30. The rest will be used to purchase the box that we're sending the banner in and to cover any additional costs. Coincidentally, the figure we calculated (£260) contains Yuzuru's current age!

What happens if the project isn't funded before the deadline? How about if funding goes over the goal?

If we can't reach our goal by the deadline, we'll make up the difference from our own pocket. This means that no matter what, the project will go forward!

Please rest assured that we won't be making any profit from this project. All of the funds raised will be used exclusively for this project. The majority will go into printing and shipping and any excess funds will be used to add to the project or be donated to Sendai Ice Rink.
