Mercy Center – Free Food Distribution Program

The program is to offer free for poverty stricken individuals in Sri Lanka, where there is a large community of individuals that cannot make ends meet. The program is intended to distribute at least one meal a day for individuals in need and thereby satisfy some basic needs under the definition of poverty.

An extended objective of this program is to create the opportunity to interact with these individuals through this program and explore the opportunity to offer assistance by way of guidance and support in helping them setup a livelyhood thus, pushing them above the poverty line over a period of time and thereby positively impact the current poverty stricken community in the country.
