Menstruation is not a choice. Girls need sanitary pads.

I target to provide 1000 girls from my rural area on Kitui county with re-usable sanitary pads. Since I was a teenager girl I would see girls miss school during their menstruation days due to lack of pads since most of them could not afford. I would also lack pads for some months and would find myself missing school and not able to speak out about it since its not a thing talked about in my village. People are embarrassed to talk about it and so young girls end up losing their confidence.

I want to help 1000 girls restore their confidence and improve their higyene by ensuring they have enough supply of re-usable pads and also get educated on menstruation. Each one will receive a pack of 12 pads. 3 pads for each day. These will cost 3.5 dollars per packet for the 1000 packs= 3500 USD I will also provide a bar of washing soap to each girl which will cost $1.3 per bar for 1000 bars= 1300 USD I will also incur training costs for the handouts the printouts will cost about 50 USD. Transporting all this to reach to the girls will cost about 70 USD. The total amount needed to complete this project will be 5,000 USD.
