Campaign Story
THIS WEEK IS MARSTONS GIVE BACK WEEK WHEN WE CHOOSE A LOCAL CAUSE TO SUPPORT AND I CANT THINK OF A MORE DESERVING CAUSE THAN THIS ONE X I WANT TO RAISE £500 AND I AM SURE YOU GUYS CAN DO IT AND THEN I WILL HAVE MY HEAD SHAVED ON SUNDAY EVENING BY MY BAR STAFF
Nikki is a local lady who needs help to make some final memories for her and her family Please take five mins to read her story in her sister Lydsay's words "Nikki is my big sister. She is a 30 year old single mother. She has cancer. Again. Nikki was diagnosed with stage 3 cervical cancer in 2012, shortly after giving birth to her daughter, Lucy. She was given chemptherapy, radiotherapy and bracytherapy treatment by the NHS that same year. Unfortunately this did not cure Nikki and her cancer is now stage 4. The NHS will provide chemotherapy but this will not cure her, it is simply palliative care. Nikkis' time is now limited. With your help, I want to raise as much money for her (and Lucy) as I can to improve the quality of life she has left. She wants to be able to leave her daughter with as many happy memories of their time together as possible. Day trips out with her daughter would help towards this. My sister is already in significant pain which makes walking difficult as this worsens the pain. A wheelchair or mobility scooter would aid her. She will lose her hair shortly after her treatment begins and human hair wigs are not available on the NHS. Your donations will help with this. There are alternative treatments and therapies which may help Nikki and could give her more time with us. Costs can be high so your donations will help with this too. Any support received is massively appreciated and I thank you for any donation you are able to make. Anything you can afford to give will help to make a positive difference. Thank you so much for your help."
