Campaign Story
As you are aware Grandad Carter died suddenly on 28th March 2013 and in his will he made a number of wishes for his funeral.
1) he wanted to be cremated and this took place on 19th April 2013
2)that his ashes would be spread on his parents graves in Ware cemetery
3) He did not want any flowers except those which were laid on his coffin and would accompany him on his final journey.
At present there is nothing in memory of him and as he always like to give money to those he cared about, we felt that it would be a nice idea to do something for him in return. He lived in a small flat in Burbage Court, for a number of years until his death and Riversmead have agreed to allow us to place something in his memory in the grounds.
We would like to raise some money to buy a bench or similar, so that it can be place in a spot where he liked to relax during those sunny days. Any donations you wish to make would be greatly appreciated and even if we don’t raise enough for the bench, would be used to buy something in his honour.
