Memorial Fund in Honor of Angela Valverde-Meza

UPDATE: Angela was called home at 8:24am on November 24th, 2018.

On Tuesday October 21st, 2014 Angela received a phone call that changed her life. At age 35, she was diagnosed with breast cancer with invasive ductal carcinoma. Unfortunately, on Thursday Nov 6th, she was told that her breast cancer was stage IV because it had metastasized to three areas in her body. Because the cancer had spread, she was told she would never fully get rid of it. Angela was a Family and Marriage therapist and dedicated her life to helping others.

Angela was supposed to receive a 2nd infusion of chemo but was unable. Her blood work showed that her liver and kidneys were failing and she was given a week to live. Angela is currently on hospice and surrounded by family as the Lord calls her home.

Angela is my aunt and the wife to my uncle Jesse. I've always looked up to my uncle and thought he was super cool! Because of Jesse I developed a passion for cars and a love of music. When Angela began dating Jesse I knew she was going to be "the one". Angela will always carry a special place in my heart because she was who I turned to for help when I started my college career. I had no idea what I was doing, but I knew that she would help lead me in the right direction. Angela helped me make it through some of my most difficult times in my life. Thanks to Angela and Jesse and their willingness to always help me, they both made a huge impact on my life.
