Hi, I am trying to raise donations for my dad who passed away suddenly & unexpectedly this year on the 20th February 2013. This is a very long story so I will try to shorten it for you in hope that you can imagine the awful time my dad went through :-(

My dad had bowel cancer and he needed operations , after the operations he suffered complications and ended up in intensive care on a life support machine, we were told by the doctors that there was no more they could do, but we decided not to turn his life support off because we wanted to give him the best possible chance to fight and prove them wrong.

Within months my dad came round and slowly he began to improve and it shocked us and the who intensive care team, after another few months he was allowed home but he started to get very down and depressed because at this stage he could no longer walk/talk/eat by himself, he had to be washed by us and his bags needed changing often he felt very down because he had always been independent. But my dad was a strong minded man and even though he was depressed he never gave up , he then was taken into a smaller rehab hospital for his long painful road to learning to walk etc..... Within 3/4 months my dad was allowed home , he was walking with a frame and could feed himself again, the pain never seemed to ease off though due to nerve ending damage but he kept fighting :-)  over the next month or so he was finally becoming stronger but was limited to what he could do , the day came for his hospital appointment to see if the cancer had gone and to our surprise he got the all clear yipppeeee he was so so happy and could now concentrate on trying to get stronger again BUT 2 days later we found my dad in bed he had passed away in his sleep? We were so upset & confused because it was suppose to be a happy time and for him to start enjoying life again so we were wondering WHY? HOW? Did this happen?  A autopsy showed nothing so a inquest was opened , in the meantime we laid my poor dad to rest without knowing why this had happened ? The inquest took just under 2 months and then we had a call from the coroner to tell us my dad died suddenly from a underlying heart condition ( blocked artery in the heart)my dad wouldn't of known he had this as there were no symptoms . My dad fought cancer for years to save his life and succeeded to then to be taken suddenly by the heart condition , he only had 2 happy cancer free days before this happened :-(

so I would love to raise donations for my dad so we can buy him a memorial tree & bench plot at our crematorium so then we can FINALLY scatter him there and go spend time with him .

The plot alone is £500 for a 5yr period and the bench starts from £1500 this will include a plaque for the tree & bench , so if you could find it in your heart to donate and help then I would be very grateful , I thank you in advance for spending time reading my dads story and for any donations I may receive .

Best Wishes Louise xxxxx.
