On May 11th, my uncle, Derrick Grimes, passed away due to complications of leukemia. Somewhere in the exact same hospital, his mother and my nana Bernice Walker, was battling COVID-19. She didn’t know her son had transitioned and never got the opportunity to because on July 2nd, she passed away as well. I’m starting this fundraiser because on Monday, August 3rd, my family will laying our beloved family members to rest and we need help. Every little bit counts and is beyond appreciated.
