Campaign Story
Angel Murillo was one of the shining stars among the young artisans learning the traditional cowboy arts here in Pendleton. In recent years, he won several leather carving contests and most recently won first place in the saddle rough out contest at the Pendleton Leather Show.
Angel was constantly growing his skills by absorbing new things and served regional ranching community by building working tack, but also in a more personal way when he custom shaped their cowboy hats at Hamley's.
For someone so young, Angel made a difference in many peoples lives. He was a true friend and will be missed by the entire community and the many who looked forward to seeing him when they came to town.
Funds raised here will be provided to the Murillo Family as a Memorial Gift from the people who loved Angel and will miss him every day.
