Injured Costa Rican Gardener Needs Help. If you are seeing this page, you know that I have been living in Costa Rica for the past 6 years.  Three weeks ago, our neighborhood gardener suffered serious injuries from a fall and needs help with medical expenses and household bills.  Melvin is a simple man who makes a living with his hands. His injury, (3 broken ribs, puntured lung and bacterial infection from surgery) will keep him from earning money to support his family and pay his bills for the foreseeable future.

 I have never reached out to anyone (friends or aquaintances) asking for financial help for any cause, but helping a person like our gardener seems like a very Christian thing to do.  For all of my North American friends who are way more fortunate than Melvin and think that helping a person in need is a good idea, here is your opportunity to do so.  You will never meet Melvin, he will never be able to thank you for your help, but for those who choose to help a total stranger, I believe will be truly blessed.  If you can not help financially, passing this page along to your friends or simply including Melvin in your prayers will be appreciated.
