I am raising money to continue the development and manufacture of a product known as a Melt Mat. Melt Mats are electrically heated, surface traction mats that repel ice and snow. Existing products sell for between 100-200 per mat and are not 100% safe to use. You plug in these mats at the start of a snow season and this ultra low watt mat will make the surface safe to walk on and eliminate the chore of snow removal.
My product is safe, inexpensive and effective. It will be built almost entirely of recycled car tires and used rubber, making that component of it environmentally friendly. It will use a minimal amount of electricity per mat and can be interlinked to provide coverage of a wider surface area. I have already been awarded $5000 for this project through an innovation start-up fund, but the money has been spent on product development, IP patent protection and required marketing studies.
I need money to get to the next level of testing and assembly of the product using advanced manufacturing techniques. It will allow me to embed the proprietary wire in a thermoset elastomer molded base and completely test out the circuitry. The money will go to space, equipment and materials. Based on what I have spent so far, the estimate is as conservative as I can make it to have a realistic shot at producing them in any quantities. Once that happens, then I project the revenue will offset future expenses. Hopefully you see the value in this product. I have hard data to support any future marketing for Melt Mats and I already have a huge backorder for the product when it is finally produced.
You are crucial in making this happen. I need you to help me and I am offering a bunch of cool swag gifts to help promote the funding turnout. Please help if you can.
