Melanie’s Student Loans

Hey, my name is Melanie!

If you're on this page, that means that you're at least interested in what I'm doing. I am a Social Work major with an art minor at WCU and I am currently finishing my first year. I will be aiming for my master's degree. I have also been working as an entrepreneur with my artwork which is currently being displayed at a local coffee shop. On Wednesdays I have a combatives course and on Fridays I have a Pokémon club meeting. I also volunteer with disability services and the UP program (University Participant) here at school.

This degree will leave me with around 20k in loans. Although that is definitely much less than most students in America end with, I would prefer to get it as low as possible. My goal for this website is $3,500. That is the exact loan amount I pull out in my name for 1 year of attendance at WCU. This loan would ordinarily be pulled out through my FAFSA. I would like to make as many payments as possible on it before the interest starts kicking in and I am currently using my money from my work study to pay for it immediately. This, however, will not be enough. I encourage you to help if you can, however I understand that many people are as strapped for cash as I am.
