I will be running the Great North Run half marathon on Sunday 13th September 2015.  This will be a huge challenge for me and it makes me more determined that I am doing it for such a good cause.  Proceeds will go directly to Almost Home Animal Rescue NI.

2 years ago I got my first dog and never did I imagine how much it would change my life.  Dexter my springer spaniel is a very special character who needs alot of hard work as he is dog reactive and very anxious.  Poppy is our second dog, a collie x, who was being rehomed by our local shelter.  She is amazingly affectionate and loves lots of attention and cuddles.  The 2 dogs have just clicked and they are best friends, so close.

I have become so aware of the different personalities and traits of dogs and how much feelings they have.  It makes me sad to think of all the unwanted dogs who are abandoned and not looked after properly.  The work that Almost Home does is life saving for these animals and gives them the chance that they never had and I want to do my bit to help.
