My name is Megg (well, it's a nickname). I am a recent graduate from the Philippines. I studied Business Administration major in Legal Management. Recently, I have received an opportunity for an internship in the United States. It is through an agency; thus, it comes with a great cost -- not to mention, the airfare, the money I will be needing to survive in the US, etc.
My family's financial situation is currently not at its best shape. That's why I no longer want to burden my parents by asking from them such a big amount. However, I really really really really want to do this. For the longest time, I have dreamt of travelling the world and seeing its greatness. I have always pictured myself moving to a far-away place after graduation at least for a year or two to work, travel, and be immersed in a culture that is far different from what I am used to.
The money I have put as "goal" is a lot, I understand. That is the estimate given to me by the agency I have applied for. It includes airfare, visa fees, their internship program fee, and literally everything I would be needing. I do not expect to reach that amount as it is huge, but I hope to at least make enough to help me pursue this dream.
This, I know, is a long shot. My cause is not as noble as those who try to raise funds to save a life or to rebuild homes. But this, to me, is just as important.
I deeply thank everyone who will help out. I promise that when I finally become successful (and I plan to be), I would give back every cent via helping out others who need help as well.
With my sincerest gratitude,
