LGBT+ people are often harassed by strangers and by their own relatives, and face stigma, discrimination and sometimes violent attacks in Ukraine. The country scored 21 out of 100 points in a 2018 analysis by EU-funded Rainbow Europe ranking LGBT+ people's rights in Europe, coming 36 out of 49 nations.

Yet tolerance is what mothers of LGBT+ people were hoping to spread, founding TERGO in 2013 to educate Ukrainian families of LGBT+ people. Families from all over Ukraine - and beyond - turn to the organisation for guidance, with its members reaching 1,000. This campaign is designed to support their activities aimed at awareness raising, legal and psychological support as well as advocacy of rights of LGBT+ people in Ukraine.

Every month TERGO is trying to bring together mother and relatives of LGBT+ people in Ukraine who have either just learned about their children's sexual orientation and gender identity or have been having difficulties with coping with the news for quite some time. TERGo offers these families psychilogical support, counseling, legal advice as well as educational events for those who recently became an activist.

The money collected via this campaign will be directed to finance these meeetings as the elderly people in Ukraine do not have financial means to cover trips to the meetings and TERGO covers fully their travel cost, accommodation and meals as well as pays small honorarium to external trainers and consultants helping with the meetings organization.
