MedLife Medical Mission Trip

Dominican University volunteers are currently enrolled in a medical program, where approximately 40 students are participating in a medical mission trip to Riobamba, Ecuador through a program called MEDLIFE. We will volunteer from March 1 to March 9, 2014 to assist fulltime medical staff at clinics in Riobamba by providing the manpower required to care for nearly a thousand patients each week. So far, we have been able to gather medical supplies from nearby hospitals as well as recruit healthcare providers to join us on our medical mission. Tuition for the trip goes toward meals and housing for the week, medicine and supplies for the patients, as well as financial support for the physicians who work there full-time.
