Medicines & Medical Supplies for Refugees in Greece

UPDATE: YOUR DONATIONS NEEDED! Again, to buy medicines and medical supplies for refugee people in Athens who are living in squatted buildings while they have a lengthy wait for asylum applications to be processed. My next travel dates are September 16th - 21st and I will need to buy more medicines to take with me. All the money donated prior to my last trip in July was spend on much needed medicines, including antibiotics, simple pain relief, asthma medications, anti-parasite medications and medicines for allergies and skin rashes. On arrival, the need was identified for antibacterial mouthwash and mosquito repellents as poor dental health and no access to dentists was a major problem, and also children in particular were plagued by mosquito bites which became infected.

YOUR DONATIONS NEEDED to buy medicines and medical supplies to provide medical care for refugee people in Greece. I am a GP travelling to Athens on July 7th (travel and accommodation self-funded). I will be helping to provide medical aid as an independent volunteer in the squats in Athens, including Notara 26, Merlie Oktaviou (the 5th School squat), City Plaza Hotel, the 2nd School squat and Hotel Oniro. I have regular contact with doctors and other experienced volunteers on the ground who advise me on which supplies and medicines are needed the most. Your donations will go directly towards buying these. I will be in Athens for four days this time and plan to make further trips later in the year. There is an ongoing need for medicines and medical care. PLEASE GIVE IF YOU CAN!
