Medical Funds for Quin Haven In His Life-Changing Surgery @5

Hi! It's my very first time raising a campaign for a cause. I am called Mama Neth by my nephews and niece (3 boys and a girl so far from my side).

I am raising a campaign for my nephew, Quin Haven David, who is turning 5 in December. He lives in Pampanga with my sister, her husband, and my parents. Quinquin as we call him is a very playful kid. He likes to collect random stuff and play with them, just like having a junk shop.

Recently, unaware of what happened, he admitted to his mom that he played with 2 toy magnets, and unintentionally swallowed them. Even though I do not live with my parents, I always communicate especially with my sister, and let each other know about our daily activities, which is the reason why I also learned about the incident the same day. He was immediately rushed to the hospital, had his X-ray exam, and found 2 ovoid metallic foreign objects inside his body. With the doctor's guidance and prescription, we were hoping that Quinquin will be able to release them through bowel movements.

2 weeks had passed and still no luck, his doctor decided to remove the foreign objects through laparoscopic surgery. Poor kid, but what choice do we have? To avoid further complications, his parents agreed to the surgery.

July 31st, 7 PM, Quinquin's parents, my parents were all in the hospital with him (yes we have that strong and close family ties kind). His mom and dad were outside the operating room while my parents were waiting in the checked-in room. We waited here remotely. Almost 4 hours had passed, and the foreign objects had been out through the incision of the small intestine. Sadly, the magnets glued the two intestines together, therefore, his intestine had a hole, and may take 5 days to recover the inside stitches.

At the moment, we can only pray for Quinquin's speedy recovery so he can play again with his toy goods. In terms of the medical costs and hospital bills, we do not know yet how much would be the total amount. Although initially we were informed that the surgery may cost PHP 180, 000 (USD 3,600).

Quinquin's mom has a day job as a nurse while he is under his dad's care. As one of their immediate family members, I can offer help but won't be enough to cover everything (we all know that as a family person, you have your budgeting).

They may find alternative ways to put all this money in, however, it may end up as a huge debt that is another burden for the family. I am hoping to collect the funds before they check out. Perhaps within a week or two (Aug. 15th). I also reached out to my friends, my team in the business, as well as our charity organization and we will be very grateful for whatever amount they can provide to support the expenses.
