Medical Support For My Dad Omar Dinsay

We are praying and reaching out for any assistance for my father Omar Dinsay. My father had a fatal stroke last July 10, 2017. He was rushed at the hospital by my Mother and he was immediately admitted at the Neuro Critical Care Unit for intensive care and monitoring. The stroke affected the pontine area of the brain which is responsible for speech, mobility, breathing and sleeping. After a month of stabilizing the condition of my father at the intensive care unit. My Father underwent 2 major operations. First operation was Tracheostomy a procedure that creates a surgical airway in the cervical trachea on his neck. Second operation was Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy (PEG) a procedure that allows feeding for patients who cannot take food orally it involves placement of a tube through the abdominal wall and into the stomach.

Currently the right side of the body is paralyzed and he is on a lot of prescriptions and medications. Our daily expenses on his medications alone is around 3,000 Pesos per day. Our Family has been helping out each other trying to share what we can through finances and medicines so that my father can recover. We are already on our third month at the hospital and the bill has accumulated and reached 1,014,049 Pesos plus the Doctors fee of 158,394.00 Pesos. Together with the family and help of friends and government benefits PWD discount and PhilHealth we were able to lessen the bill down to 747,541.91. We have already exhausted all our resources and finances. But we are still praying and trying all efforts to meet our daily needs. We have faith and we believe that through the sacrifices and efforts, at the end of the day, all is worth it because we are honoring our parents. Day by day we try our very best to earn finances for the medications and hospital bill, but the hospital demands 80% of our total bill to be paid before we can be discharged. At this moment, we are still striving to produce all the financial needs for my father. Due to his long confinement he has already acquired bacteria (UTI, Pneumonia, Sepsis). We are now raising funds for my father to help us with the hospital bill so that we can take him home. We are thankful for allowing us to share this with you.
