Medical Supplies for New Delhi Volunteer Nursing

Hello all! My name is Hayley and I am a brand new nurse located in the great state of Maine. I have always loved to travel, and my ultimate life goal is to provide nursing care in the field in other countries who need it. Instead of taking the traditional route and going right to floor nursing in a hospital after school, I have chosen to kickstart my career by going to India with Volunteer Activities and providing nursing care in the Delhi area (in both hospitals and slum clinics) in August. This will be an amazing opportunity for me to broaden my horizons from a travel standpoint, as well as gain a culturally significant skill set that I can bring home with me as I begin my professional nursing career here in the United States.

One of the most critical hurdles for any clinic in India is the lack of immediately available healthcare resources in some of the areas. For this reason, I've chosen to fundraise to help purchase supplies to bring with me, as well as cover some expenses for my work once I am there. Some include (but aren't limited to):

• Tylenol/ibuprofen
• Alcohol wipes
• Gloves
• Bandages/First aid kits
• Soap
• Saline flushes
