Medical Move

My name is Allen, I’m a single, 37 year old paraplegic living in Salt Lake City, Utah. After much deliberation and telling myself it’s okay to reach out to others for help, I finally decided to swallow my pride and here I am… In 2010, I was in a climbing accident that left me with a spinal cord injury (T10 - L5) leaving me a complete paraplegic. Through much determination, therapy and help from Doctors, I’m what they call a miracle at this point. To-date I am able to move my legs and stand with the aid of a cane. We’re unsure how long this “miracle” will last as the Doctors are in complete awe as to how I am doing this. Although I have my bad days, for the most part, I’m a fighter and believe in never giving up!  Unfortunately, I’m beginning to develop some new health issues and concerns which leads me to my request here on Go Get Funding -    A few months ago the Doctors ran some tests and found I have a rare disorder effecting the circulation in my extremities called Raynaud’s phenomenon. My doctors recommended I move to a warmer climate. He explained that the cold weather slows the circulatory system and if I don’t do something to change this, it could eventually take my life. Being single and receiving a limited amount of money each month on Disability, I’ve decided to continue the fight and take the scary step to move in hopes of warmer weather slowing the progression of my new illness.  I am asking for any financial help to cover the cost of rental truck, tow dolly, fuel, etc... Unfortunately the State doesn’t help pay for any of the move only enough each month to pay rent. Living on a small Disability check each month I just do not have the money needed to get me, my belongings and my service dogs out there.   If you have any questions I can answer, please feel free to ask.
