Campaign Story
We are looking to provide a "Miracle Medical Mission" for the children of our Uganda, Africa School. The nurses that have been selected will work in our state-of-the-art medical clinic from March 17-29, 2016. Your donations will enable them to train and direct the clinic's current staff in American medical best-practices and technologies.
Nine nurses and faculty from the School of Nursing at Globe Business School in Minnesota need to raise $45,000 so they can go to the Mbiriizi School in Uganda and provide quality health care to the students and residents of the village.
These people are: Ashley Ries; Christina Sprunger; Janet Rounsville; Josh Keller; Katie Heimer; Kelsey Wicklund; Lauren O'Laughlin; Lindsay Correll; Milana Bakay. PLEASE HELP … no amount is too small!
As we are also looking to expand this miracle to include help for the people in the surrounding communities - during our last visit in March of 2015 over 300 people from surrounding towns were treated for free in addition to the children - it will also allow members of our team to share knowledge and guidance with the clinic's staff on the best ways to conduct their own on-going seminars to better educate members of the surrounding communities in the areas of nutrition, home health care, family planning, pre-natal care and obstetrics in an effort to provide continued benefits to the children and people of the school and surrounding communities in the years to come.
All the medical personnel that have been selected to attend and work are graduates of the Minnesota School of Business, Globe University, School of Nursing.

In 2003, Sylvia Allen went with a non-profit organization on a humanitarian trip to Uganda, Africa. While she was there, she was asked by Geofrey Kawuma, head of the Mbiriizi Primary School, to be the school’s Grandmother. With 1,000 children in the school, of which 250 are orphans due to the AIDS crisis, she was honored to accept the responsibility. Out of this Sylvia’s Children was born, Inc., a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to improving the lives of her ‘grandchildren'; to give the children a fighting chance. Sylvia’s Children is a family-run charity with Sylvia Allen, founder, as President and her two children, Michele and Tony Costa, serving as trustees. No administration charges are taken out of your donations. 100% of the money goes to the school and 100% of your donation is tax deductible.
