Medical Humanitarian Trip to Peru

Hi and welcome to our page!

The clinics and hospitals for low income families in Cusco tend to be under-funded and under-staffed. As a result, volunteers play an important role in assisting local nurses and doctors, dentists and specialists.

I am Leah and I am a third year nursing student at Trent University. And, I am Hannah and I will be beginning my journey as a nursing student in the Fall of 2020. We will be traveling to Cusco, Peru for two weeks in May. Volunteering is something that has always been of interest to us and this is a unique opportunity to combine it with our passion for healthcare. This also gives us an opportunity as cousins to follow in our grandmother's footsteps as a nurse and to practice our nursing skills. We hope to gain an appreciation for a new culture and obtain a better understanding of international healthcare.
