Help Mel Get Well...

Hi everyone. I am humbly knocking at the doorstep of your heart to join me in prayers and financial support for my brother, Mel Maniago, who is confined at ICU of The Medical City in Ortigas, Pasig City since 23 November 2018. At an early age of 45, with wife and 2 young children, my brother Mel was initially diagnosed with Myocardial Ischema secondary to congestive heart failure with community acquired Pneumonia. Other complications which worsen his condition are his iron deficiency anemia and Type 2 uncontrolled diabetes mellitus.

About 2 weeks ago, as he was rushed to the Emergency Room of the hospital for experiencing difficulty in breathing, the doctor said that his heart is 27% functioning and that his immune system is very, very low. He was put into isolation for about 1 week due to the high risk of infection because of very low immune resistance. To date, his heart function is 40% (praise God) that is why Angiogram has been performed this morning and the result is 3 vessel coronary artery disease. The doctor's recommendation for him is to under go angioplasty or heart bypass.

Mel is fighting for his life. He wants to live. He wants to be with his children as they grow. As a family, we are fighting for him. However, having been in the ICU for almost 3 weeks now, and with the anticipated heart bypass procedure which will be done for him to survive, we are now in dire need for your continuous prayer and financial support. Any amount coming from your generous heart to shoulder the cost of our ballooning hospital bills and his bypass operation will be a big leap towards the improvement of his condition.
