Hi! I will be going to Nicaragua for a week in May on a medical brigade to work alongside doctors, medical personnel and other students to provide basic health care assessments to the community there. These individuals lack access to amenities that we oftentimes take for granted. We will also be providing educational workshops called charlas to children to teach them about proper hygiene practices. Lastly, we will help complete a water pipeline project to ensure that the community gains access to clean water. This is something I have been wanting to do for a really long time and any amount would help tremendously as I currently do not have the sufficient funds necessary to go on this trip. I'm a college student who has never studied or traveled abroad and this would truly be an amazing opportunity for me as it would combine two of my favorite things: experiencing new cultures and helping others.
