On November 19, 2020, John Estoque was rushed to the hospital after vomiting and multiple seizures. The doctors discovered he had a 4cm "snowman-shaped" tumor (LWT: 4.8x3.9x3.9cm)occupying the sellar and suprasellar space of the brain (please see CT scan details). He was sent home shortly after when his family was unable to pay for the brain surgery.

After exhausting all other avenues for financial assistance, we (his cousins) are setting up a crowdfunding page to help fund his surgery and any expenses needed during his recovery post-surgery. We've been informed the recovery will be long possibly requiring speech and physical therapy. The breakdown of the medical expenses are as follows:

• Brain surgery - P500,000
• Hospital expenses - P200,000
• Post-recovery expenses - P300,000

We aim to raise a total of P1,000,000 to ensure Kuya John and his family gets the financial support they need during this challenging time. With the COVID protocols in place, only one member can visit Kuya John when he's at the hospital (his mum will be unable to be there to provide support as she's a senior citizen).

Kuya John has always been a helpful, cheerful person. Kind, patient, soft spoken and could easily talk to anyone. Growing up, he would be the one picking and dropping us off at school. He taught us how to wrap presents and would play DOTA with us after school. He would help us with school projects and drive us to school. He even taught us how to use the computer and play a deck of cards. When we needed him, he was always available to help out. When you talk to him, he is always so delighted to have a conversation with you even if it’s the most silliest of things. He has always been very inquisitive and it’s very easy to make him laugh.

Kuya John and his family are hoping to push through with the surgery this month as soon as we raise the necessary funds. Given this, any financial help would be deeply appreciated by us, him and the entire family.
