Campaign Story
Baby Olivia Grace Santiago was born healthy on the 1st of October 2019 in Manila, Philippines. This year on Feb. 15, she had a fever and the pediatrician gave her medications and she got well. 2 days later, fever came back and it was on and off. They consulted her pediatrician and required Olivia to undergo CBC. They were referred to a hematologist because the results of the CBC were alarming. She was confined for 3 days at the Philippine Children’s Medical Center for several tests and it turned out that Baby Oli has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). On March 8, a medication was injected into her spine to prevent the cancer cells from reaching her brain. March 10, she will undergo Triple Intrathecal Therapy before they can start her 1st chemo session. The next 2-3 weeks will be critical as the immune system will be weaker and she will be very prone to infection which will put her in danger.
We are asking for prayers for Baby Olivia to survive this and for her parents, King and Niza to be strong all throughout the process. This funding was created to support them with their hospital and other medical bills. Any help goes a long way! Thank you and God bless!
