My Sister Rose in pain.

My Nieces with their father (Family of my Sister Rose)

Where I am right now, it’s because of my sister Rose, and having her diagnosed with stage four breast cancer is giving us unbearable pain.

We came from a poor family. We are eleven, my father is a farmer and my mother is a plain housewife. We are living in Zamboanga Province, Philippines where the primary source of living is farming. We have to work hard for us to live. Going to school is not an option for we have to work in the farm to sustain our everyday living. I am the tenth child, and at the age of 5, I have experienced how tiring to work in the farm. This made me think that we are being cursed. But my elder sisters never failed to make us happy despite the poverty we are facing.

My elder sisters sacrificed their comfort just to help us (younger siblings) finish school. They always remind us to never give up, and that poverty is not a hindrance to success. Some work hard in the farm, and other worked as housemaids. With their help and us having part time jobs, four of us (younger siblings) finished college. And that’s how my sister Rose played a biggest role in my life. Where I am today is because of her.

My sister Rose devoted her life to us. She prioritized the needs of her siblings than hers. At the age of 39, she got married and bore two beautiful daughters (5 and 3 years old). We are very happy for her. At last she got what she deserved. Indeed she was happy. Very happy.

But today, our family faced the biggest challenge in our life. My sister Rose is diagnosed with breast cancer stage four were operation is not possible and chemotherapy is too costly. The doctor told us to pray for miracle. We cried. We cried hard until no tears were coming out from our eyes. The thought of losing her is killing me. Why of all people? My sister doesn’t deserve such illness. She is so kind. Her children are too young to lose their mother. Her husband is just a farmer, and we are financially incapable of giving her a chemotherapy treatment. We are giving up everything we have but then it is not enough. I am just a minimum wage earner, and what I have is not enough to extend the life of my sister Rose.

That’s why I am knocking the heart of each and every one. Please help us raise fund for the medical support of my sister Rose and educational plan for her two daughters to secure their future. I am knocking your kind heart for a life changing donation to make this plan possible. My family were very afraid right now, but we are hopeful that there are people around the world who are kind enough to help those who are in need. I believed that this site is an instrument of God and through this, we should not lose hope.

Our heartfelt gratitude to those who read, share our story and gave donation.

You gave us life and hope.
