Campaign Story
Our dear friend Joanne Atienza-Torres was diagnosed with Rectal Cancer in 2016. She immediately and aggressively underwent treatment: radiation, oral chemotherapy, surgery and IV Chemo until 2017.
Unfortunately, it has metastasized and currently in Stage 4 Rectal plus Pelvis covering the whole Reproductive system and urinary bladder. Been suffering from infections brought by complications due to low immune system.
She is currently admitted again and being treated for Deep Vein Thrombosis & to see if the targeted treatment may be possible.
It was told that this approach is too risky as it might cause sepsis.. may go up to lungs or brain and cause stroke.
Together with fellow batch mates, Peeya Quiambao and Jill Mercado, we are knocking on your good heart to spread to everyone and help raise a medical fund for Joanne.
We also asking everyone to include Joanne in your prayers for her complete healing and recovery.
