Medical for Mike

Sadly, this campaign has come to an end. Mike has succumb to his condition and has returned home to his heavenly father. All funds will be transferred out to one of our accounts and then passed onto Sharon. Details will be sent out to everyone on who to contact to have your donation (less the website's commission) refunded. Thank you to everyone who rallied up the support. The family is devastated and appreciate all the love. May his gentle soul rest in peace!

Michael Alvarez, well known to the Port Elizabeth community for his entertaining music trivia, great DJ skills and Action Cricket umpiring, needs an urgent operation. He has a tumour on the head of the pancreas and the procedure that is required is called "Whipple", which will bypass the pancreas to other organs.The procedure will be done by Dr Dirk Brombacher, here in Port Elizabeth.

This procedure will extend Mike's life expectancy up to ten years - the only problem we now face is that it needs to be done urgently and Mike does not have medical aid. Let's get together and help Mike!
