medical expenses for indie

Indie is 7 years old, my family adopted her when she was just two months old. she has always been a very athletic and outdoorsy cat, even bringing us her hunts as presents (gross).

when, on june 11, she started throwing up after eating we thought it was something she ate. but she kept throwing up and we started to get worried. that night she didn't sleep at all, she kept waking up very alarmed, like someone was attacking her.

on june 12 we took her to the vet and they said it was nothing, but we still were worried, we knew something was off. so we took her to another one and they took an echography, which showed indie has renal calculi.

they found calculi in both her kidneys, and they're blocking her urether. they told us her kidneys are failing, she's in great pain and it's a very difficult procedure. from this point on, every procedure will be risky and we're very scared for our family member. on top of that, with covid and everything going on, her bills are piling up and we're on a tight budget. every donation will help, we're trying to save our baby.

update june 15, this morning her condition turned worse, she´s losing consciousness because her sodium level is high. they're going to operate as soon as she's stable. they're going to put something called pigtail on both kindneys connecting with the exterior, so we can get the pee out. this is because there aren't any SUBs near, we will have to wait for it to arrive, and that could be weeks. please send positive energy, everything helps. the money on the budgets is in clp (chilean pesos) that's the cost of her exams and this operation. the SUB is the most expensive one, costing more than 2000 usd.
