Our father suffered from end-stage renal disease since his first dialysis in December 2017. He is diabetic and we were told yesterday his heart is weak at 45% pump rate that is below minimum which is prone to heart attacks.

Since then he has undergone numerous surgeries; including fistula insertion and ray finger amputation.

Due to his kidney failure, fluids accumulate in his body and mostly in his lungs.

We have been in and out of the hospital admission almost 10 times or so and now he is in the ICU due to congested lungs and heart attack since June 24, 2019.

His air ventilator was increased yesterday for him to absorb oxygen making him dependent as of today.

We have exhausted our funds knowing the severity of his illness.

Philhealth does not support CKD diagnosed patients if the 45 claims out of 90 have been used. He has already used 57 claims, so its past 45. Only within 45 they can cover impatient stays.

PCSO we have tried already and they give a lesser amount if the patient is admitted again from their first given Guarantee Letter.

Thank you for your kindness and prayers. We continue to be strong for him with the help of our Lord. Any help is appreciated.

Just spoke with papas pulmonary doctor. The operation this morning was deferred. His heart rate was 190. The procedure has not yet even started and the anesthesiologist refused to continue. It was too risky. So he is still in the ICU for obersvation until he is stable.Next option is Thoracentesis

The doctors wanted to know from us what our decision was if we go through pigtail catheter insertion or thoracentesis.Thoracentesis is cheaper but less effective than the catheter that continously drains the fluid.
