Medical Emergency Help for Bushbabies Staff

On the 17^th of December disaster strikes. It is the last group of Bush Babies attending the annual nature camps. The Bush Babies staff make a quick trip to fetch the lunch for the children, before they arrive………A message on the security group about a road accident did not rings any bells until a picture was posted on the group. That’s our Bush Babies project vehicle!!!! SHOCK!!

The Bush Babies vehicle had rolled. Total disbelief and shock turned to sadness.
Portia Mogale lost her life that day. Four of our Bushbabies staff ended up in hospital with varying degrees of injuries. Some are slowly recovering at home and are receiving medical care and physiotherapy. Monica Pulisa has not been so lucky and is still in hospital in the intensive care unit. She needs serious medical attention.

We are trying everything in our power to provide Monica with a fighting chance for survival. We rely heavily on donations and we are not able to budget for such tragedies as this.

Monica needs scans and possibly surgery. She is in the Tzaneen Medi Clinic intensive care unit and needs treatment urgently. We are therefore reaching out to everyone who might have a spare penny to donate to the medical costs for Monica and her colleagues.

The Bushbabies staff play such an important role within their community, for the local school children and the reserve. They are true champions of the earth.
