Medical Costs for Papa Lito’s Surgery

We would like to ask for your kindness and generosity to help my father, Joselito.

You might have met my father as Mang Lito the school service driver, or the electrician who fixed electrical wirings at your house. You might seen him sing during the 6 AM mass in Santo Rosario Parish, or he could be the one who facilitated your Pre-Cana Seminar as Bro. Lito, or during Couple For Christ prayer meetings and gatherings. Or you might have heard his infamous joke right before me and my husband's first kiss during our wedding. In one small way or another, he might have been a part of your life.

This past few months, he faced his most difficult challenge of his life. He was diagnosed with cervical spondylotic myelopathy, a neck condition that arises when the spinal cord becomes compressed—or squeezed—due to the wear-and-tear changes that occur in the spine (orthoinfo.aaos.org). In effect, his most precious tools of trade, his hands and legs, fell weak and pain radiated through out his body. If left untreated, this disease may cause permanent severe nerve damage leading to disability, or worst, death.

His only cure is urgent surgery, which costs at least Php 800,000.00. My father, for most of his life, poured everything to his family, and was not able to prepare himself in this kind of situation. Our family is pooling all our limited resources to help him, but such goal is a quite out of reach. This is why we are asking for your help. Any amount that you can give will be of extreme help in his healing. Most importantly, your prayers will give him strength and hope to endure this great battle.

There's nothing that we want more than to make Papa smile again and see him healthy and strong. We will be able to make this happen with your help and generosity.
