What a lively person my mom, Carmen, was. Used to run from one place to the other doing chores and all the things she loved. Sometimes, even chasing us, me ad my sister, for all the naughty things children do. However, that changed in 2010 when she was diagnosed with gonarthrosis on both her knees. That's when she stopped running, she started walking slower, the smile on her face transformed into an expression of pain for every single step she took. Every year since then, every 6 months, she needs to have her treatment: 3 injections of Hyalone, one week apart, for every knee. Alongside with it, she is also on a continuous pain treatment. The price of the treatment altogether has put a financial strain of the family, where my father, who works part-time, is the sole breadwinner of the family. We are a proud family, however, this time we need help to provided my mom, Carmen, with her next supplies of Hyalone (which costs around $80 per shot, which means $480 per treatment session, not including travel expenses to the clinic as she lives in a rural area). Please, help us see her walk pain free and crutches free. We'd love to see her smile and lively self again.
