Medical Cost – David Bickley

We are launching this campaign to financially assist our friend of many years, David Bickley. David has been a well known and active participant in the Bluegrass picking community for the past 30 years. A week before Christmas 2015, David began experiencing severe chest pains. Upon admittance in a South Carolina Medical Center, it was discovered that David would need open heart surgery. We all knew how serious the surgery would be, but none of us were prepared for all the constant complications and set backs he would encounter.

David is still hospitalized six weeks later in Surgical ICU with no known discharge date. Anyone who has been unfortunate enough to have needed medical procedures can imagine what an astronomical amount of expenses have accrued from these procedures and lengthy hospital stay. Our mission here is to supplement, and hopefully remove the stress and agony that huge financial burdens place upon us when we are stricken by severe medical events. All contributions made will be deposited in an account that has been established for David Bickley.

We are also having a musical benefit for David on Saturday, January 30th from 1pm - 5pm. The event will be held at Bill's Music Shop & Picking Parlor, 710 Meeting Street West Columbia, South Carolina. The phone number to call for tickets or information is 803-796-6477.

We are asking for a minimum $20.00 donation at the door. I know you will be totally entertained by the three bands that have volunteered their time and talent for this worthy cause. Hopefully this web page will allow those who are unable to attend the benefit to contribute, and help relieve some of the financial burden that this medical occurrence has placed upon David Bickley and his wife Greta.
