He will use ANY amount given for her good and His glory! . I pray that God will meet you at the point of your need as you help .

read more below about Janie's story and then pray how you can help!

For quite some time, Janie has been battling an unforeseen, and often unthought of illness. In 2009, Janie became very sick with what was, at the time, a phantom illness causing lethargy, intense pain, fatigue, and other adverse side effects. For years, Janie met with countless doctors at several centers around the United States and still came up with no diagnosis.

At age 13, Janie was an active cheerleader both for school, and on an all-star team. Cheerleading was Janie’s passion, however a severe hip injury left her watching from the bench. Unaware of the journey before her, Janie and her family began the many doctors appointments, and therapy sessions in attempts to rehabilitate her hip. What began with a “simple” hip surgery, quickly evolved into a diagnosis for a nerve disorder called CRPS . However, her doctors were unfortunately only treating symptoms rather than the cause of the issue at hand. As Janie grew more ill and answers to her situation fell short, she had to quit cheer, and could only attend school few days a week.

Due to Janie’s drastic situation, she made a plan to graduate school early, and with the Lord’s faithful provision, she did just that. However, after graduating, her already puzzling situation became much worse. Janie’s autonomic nervous system began to fall apart. This imbalance in her body is what cascaded her into a state that disallowed her to eat or drink much at all. Furthermore, her heart rate became exceedingly fast, she experienced daily head and neck pain, debilitating fatigue, and more. Countless doctors from around the country could not put their finger on what was happening to Janie’s body, but they had plenty of names for it... Mono, CRPS, POTS/Dysautonomia, Epstein Barr, Thyroid Storms, etc. . Thus, Janie’s treatments were not helping. On June 15th, 2014, Janie’s 18th birthday, she was finally diagnosed with Lyme Disease, a bacterium based infectious disease.

With this new diagnosis, Janie had to immediately begin intravenous antibiotic treatments with a Lyme Disease specialist. To this day, Janie has a port in her chest, which runs a medication delivery system directly into her heart. She uses this port daily for intravenous antibiotics, nausea medication, and even hydration as drinking fluids is still difficult. She has been using this course of treatment for over 2 years. This treatment was prescribed by a doctor who does not accept insurance, the norm for this disease. Combined with years worth of treatments, medications, hospital visits, surgeries, etc., Janie’s family has been heavily burdened with financial duress that has only added to how difficult Janie’s situation already is.

Unfortunately, all of these countless treatments have not helped Janie as much as hoped. Lyme Disease, when undiagnosed for such a long period as Janie’s situation, has the ability to wreak havoc within the body, and takes root in places that are very difficult to eradicate. Janie is simply too sick for the antibiotics to ward off what has plagued her weary body. But in the recent months, Janie’s family has put together a new course of action: There is a treatment center in California that is currently having high success rates in Lyme Disease treatment, even in cases that are as complicated as Janie’s. Janie's family believes that this opportunity is Janie’s best chance at getting her life back. However, the treatment is not covered by insurance, and it is quite costly. It is something that Janie’s family has never been able to pursue due to the unreachable financial goal. And that is why we need your help.

So here is what we are asking you to do: We're asking you to give, and to give boldly. We're asking you to step into the situation of a girl who has been battling a disease hard, and hasn't once given up. We're asking you to pray and support our friend Janie, but we're also asking you to give financially if you have the means for it. This treatment, and the life changing potential it has for Janie’s health and future will not be possible without your generous assistance… but together, we can make a difference for Janie, her parents Steve & Tracy, and her family.

The goal? Raise 35,000 to get Janie into treatment as soon as we possibly can!

Throughout her entire circumstance over the course of these last 8 years, Janie has kept a contrite heart, and chosen to praise God for this trial, regardless of the toll it has taken on her and her family.
