Last February 6 2019, my grandma, Narlita Ganutan, was admitted at Karmelli Clinic and Hospital, Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, due to unbearable pain that she felt in her two wounded legs that she had last year. According to the doctor, the wound was not able to heal because of lack of blood circulation and abnormal pulse rate. Unknowingly, she was already experiencing gangrene— a condition that occurs when body tissue dies that can lead to damaging organs and muscles. She was also diagnosed with ALI or Acute Limb Ischemia. Sadly, the doctor said that amputation should be done in order to prevent the spreading of the infection.
Yesterday, she was admitted in ICU at Cardinal Santos Medical Center for Heparin Drip that costs up to Php 30, 048 or $576.
The hospital informed us that her hospital and medical expenses as of February 14, 2019 now totals to Php 217,805.00 or 4,188 USD.
My family including all my aunts, uncles and cousins are doing our best to help grandma survive by providing the medicine and her other needs, but somehow the cost is too big for us. The doctor advised us to prepare at least 1 million or 20,000 USD to conduct her operation and provide her medical needs.
We are knocking on your kind hearts to help out our grandmother who’s in need. Every amount counts and we will make sure to put every donated money to clear up her hospital bill and help with her financial needs. All proceeds will be given directly to Narlita.
We welcome inquiries and questions. If you want to contact Narlita by herself, contact details can be provided.
Your prayers are greatly appreciated through these hard times. May God bless your kind hearts.
