Medical Bills

I had been in an terrible accident on the 14th of August 2020. The doctors didn't believe I would be able to make it and if i did make it I wouldn't be able to walk. With a lot surgeries I made it and with had to endure painful psyhio, I was alive and walkingmI was in a medical induced coma for 12 days so that my brain can "rest". I had multiple surgeries including, two neck surgeries, a collarbone surgery, and quite a few head surgeries. When I woke up from my coma the doctor also announced I am pregnant which means I was already 2 weeks pregnant when the accident happened. Many said I should go for an abortion because what if the baby won't make it or will come out with a dis functionality. Nevertheless I believed that my baby would be healthy and he was. I had see to see a lot of different doctors because of the different surgeries I had to have. I was in the hospital for 2 months and 2 days. Half of that time I was alone. I couldn't get visitors since it was Covid. They did allow one visitor when I was in the ICU just because I was getting really depressed being so far from home and not seeing my family. Bare in mind I wasn't allowed to have my phone since they were scared I would look up the accident and someone had posted a video of us laying there, scattered in field. I don't remember how the accident happened and what could be the cause of it but I do know that I'm not a fast driver and also don't drive intoxicated. Anyway I was suppose to be out of the hospital earlier but then got an infection that left a hole in my head and also had to stay in a room alone until the infection cleared, luckily they found a nurse near my home that could care for me until I was physically fully healed. So only on 09 December 2020 my physical wounds was healed. I'm just so grateful that my baby survived this trauma. I gave birth on 22 April 2021 to a healthy baby boy. After the birth I also suffered from post partum depression. I'm still suffering a lot with my mental health.

The type of surgeons and doctors I had to see: Neurosurgeon, trauma surgeon, physiotherapist, therapist, plastic surgeon, and others that I cannot remember.

My case with my injuries , because it is so severe will be in a medical journal. Don't know exactly when it will be released.

Anyway sorry for the babbling but thank you for reading.

The reason for this fundraiser is because me and my family are still struggling to keep up with the medical bills. I wasn't able to work for a few months so I didn't have an income. Even though I do work now it's still difficult because the cost of medical bills are huge and our medical aid only covered a portion of the bill. I also want to help my sister atleast with a little bit of a down payment of a new vehicle since I feel so bad that the accident ruined her bakkie and insurance couldn't cover it.
