Medical bill too much, insurance was no help.

Was diagnosed with a cyst in my chest right before Christmas 2015. It was a scary time for my family and I. With that said, I had it removed. We have medical insurance but like the story goes, unless it's something they deem "normal" we would basically pay off the entire bill ourselves. Insurance companies wonder why people refuse to go to the doctor. We've paid a little over $500.00 the insurance company paid roughly $400.00 and we're left with a remaining balance of $1400.00. We pay lots every month for Health Insurance, this isn't fair to me or to any hard working family.
