Medical Assistance for Calila

Me, Cherrielyn Layson and my husband Emerson Layson is seeking medical and financial help. One of our twins, Calila "Cali" Layson was born preterm, and her stomach is getting bigger and still left undiagnosed. I gave birth May 2020. At the hospital where I gave birth there was no specialist for her condition, public hospitals won't accept her because of the covid situation. So the hospital just work her up just for her to stay alive, and because she had tiny body she adopted pneumonia and sepsis along the way. She stayed in the hospital for 26 days, and our confinement and medication cost us almost 400k, most of that money came from our own savings. That now cause us financially depleted.

Oct. 7, Cali was unresponsive, we brought her to Philippine children's hospital. Because of pneumonia she needed po be admitted to covid ward, where I cannot take care nor see her, and if she unfortunately pass we cannot see her anymore or bury her. That's the deal, that we don't have any choice..Gladly she was negative with covid and was put on PICU after staying at the covid ward for few days, she is now in picu(pediatric icu), but still we are not allowed to see her.

Right now (updated) She was diagnosed with "Acute liver failure due to cmv infection, post hemorrhagic hydrocephalus,inguinal hernia bilateral to HD, hyperthyroidism, cerebral palsy"

Our running billing is at Million Pesos . I cannot imagine how much it will be for the coming days, weeks or months. We are just blessed that this is a public hospital, there is a big chances to get discount.

Because of twin pregnancy I'm not attending work for almost 7 months then this came, I cannot go back to work, I need to attend to cali's needs, my husband mostly took leaves to assist my our needs here in the hospital. Also we still have other daughter, (the other twin) who needs milk and diaper...
